Tamiya's Betty still is one of the best kits ever produced. Superb detail where is needed, ease of build, proper forms. What else is there to ask for? Ten boxes of the late variants, you say? Count me in.

By the way, I have never seen or expected that Tommy would give a good, correct and objective report about the Germans... and that is something that can be seen again and again. Of course, that is understandable, who glorifies the enemy? And apart from bad and negative statements, nothing else has been said about the Germans since the last war. I keep asking myself why, as an English historian, I have to portray the Germans in public in certain reports. The only understandable motivation is the negative result. The Nazis were the bad guys and England was on the side of the so-called good guys and saved the world and Europe from Nazi rule for freedom... Lol, that is one of the biggest lies that has ever been told! And to be honest, it was England, France and America who, after 1945, wasted no time pursuing their own interests and wars in the world. That was a very nice experience for the people in the countries that found themselves in the British Commonwealth without being asked. Whether in Asia, Africa or the Middle East. The world should recover under the freedom of the Commonwealth... just like the French and Americans did. It's all ridiculous, but it happened. And now it's happening again in Ukraine 🇺🇦. I think we all know what's behind it! Ukraine has certain parallels to the way the Germans were treated in the 1930s and their fight against the so-called Treaty of Versailles and the associated destruction of the German Empire... That was without a doubt the only reason for World War II. By the way, anyone who knows Churchill's significant statements about Germany in the 1930s knows the truth of the whole story. And the moral of the story is that England has always known in the past how to get rid of its unpopular economic and political opponents! The First World War was not a random event but a well-prepared and planned operation. I don't think there's any denying what was going on there. Interesting, in Vallejo and Mr Color the RLM 82 is a ligther green and RLM 81 is the darker green.

Tamiya never disappoints! I knew this when I bought the 1/32 Zero in about 1970. The quality was of a new order. This one looks superb. 👍🏻

I'm actually working on a version of this aircraft. It's flipping huge for a 48th twin engine aircraft. I'm doing a torpedo bomber in brown and green camo. One thing you can do is cut the heads off the figures and reposition them. It adds character to them. I hope you are doing this kit next.

I built that kit back in the 90s the worst part was masking all that glass I would definitely use the pre painted ones go ahead , build it.

Lovely kit, I would suggest AK RC955 or MRP425 for the topsides and painting all the markings. 👌🏻

These beautiful works of art haunt me. I have a modelling studio with three walls stacked from floor to ceiling with unopened boxes of model tanks, planes, warships, spaceships, robots, etc… 12 years ago I locked the doors as my mom got very sick and I tried my best to take care of her. Mom passed away 3 years ago, and my son was born at the same year I locked the doors. I am tempted to remove the cobwebs and unlock the doors, perhaps someday introduce my son to the hobby…

screw his freedom, he needs to be locked up to keep me safe. 😢
